Monthly Business Meeting

Our business meeting is where we plan events, coordinate outreach, and fill service positions. All AA members are welcome to attend.

What happens at business meetings:

  • Committee updates (Events, Outreach, Treasurer, etc.)

  • Planning upcoming events + volunteering needs

  • Old business / new business

  • Open positions and service opportunities

How membership works:

  • Want to become a voting member? Attend two consecutive business meetings.

  • Visitors are always welcome — voting is for active members.

Service & Volunteer

There are two easy ways to jump in:

1) Help at events (one-time or whenever you can)
Setup, greeting, hospitality, cleanup, outreach tables — we always need help.

2) Ongoing service (monthly commitment)
If you want a consistent role, come to the business meetings and let us know what you’re interested in. We’ll guide you toward open service positions and what they involve.

Ways To Help

  • Event setup / cleanup (chairs, tables, decorations, teardown)

  • Greeting & welcoming newcomers (front table, welcome crew)

  • Hospitality (ice runs, snacks, water, coffee, helping people feel at home)

  • Outreach (flyers, meeting announcements, community connections)

  • Graphics support (proofreading flyer text, gathering correct event details, idea support)

  • Website help (updating event details, posting flyers, keeping pages current)

  • Merchandise support (tables, inventory help, folding/organizing)

  • Beverage / registration support

    • Volunteers can help with pouring/restocking and giving breaks

    • When money is involved, an elected officer will handle the cash/Venmo counting/documenting

  • Tech help (sound, music, projector, mic checks)

  • Committee service roles (monthly) (ask at the business meeting — we’ll help you find a fit)
